Republic Of Türkiye Ministry Of Foreign Affairs 04.09.2015

No: 246, 4 September 2015

We strongly condemn the double suicide attacks in the northern Cameroonian city of Kerawa yesterday, (3 September) which resulted in the death of dozens of people and injury of hundreds of others. We wish God’s mercy upon those who lost their lives in these heinous attacks, convey our condolences to their families and the brotherly people of Cameroon, and wish a speedy recovery to the wounded.

The attacks, recently perpetrated against civilians by the Boko Haram terrorist organization in the region, have proven once again the importance of international cooperation in the fight against terrorism.

On this occasion, Turkey, having steadily demonstrated its determination in the fight against terrorism in the past, reiterates that it will be in solidarity with friendly and brotherly people of Cameroon and continue to support security and stability of the country.
