Press Release Regarding the Allegations on the German Media

Republic Of Türkiye Ministry Of Foreign Affairs 17.08.2016

No: 186, 17 August 2016

The allegations referring to a report of German Federal Intelligence Agency on the news of ARD, one of the state-operated television channels in Germany, is a new indicator of the distorted mentality which has been trying to undermine Turkey for a while by targeting H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish Government.

The authorities of the Federal Republic of Germany were required to provide an explanation on the report referred to on the ARD’s news.

It is obvious that some political circles in Germany, which are notorious for their double standard attitudes in the fight against terrorism, including the bloody actions of the PKK terrorist organization which continues to aim at Turkey, are behind those allegations.

Turkey, as a country which sincerely fights against all kinds of terrorism regardless of their source, expects from her other partners and allies to act in the same way, as well.
