The Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye presents its compliments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia and has the honour to inform the Latter that the rules regarding the precautions against Covid-19 pandemic in force in Türkiye have been changed as of 3 March 2022.

The rules set in the latest circular of the Directorate General of the Provincial Administration of the Ministry of Interior, dated 4 March 2022, are as follows:

1. PROVISIONS REMOVED FROM IMPLEMENTATION

1.1 In the circulars of the Ministry of the Interior; the implementation of the provisions regarding mask use, HES code query and negative PCR test result submission have been terminated as of 03.03.2022.

2. MASK USE

2.1 From now on, the obligation to use masks will not be applied in open areas and closed spaces where social distance can be maintained and where appropriate ventilation conditions are available.

2.2 On the other hand, the obligation to use a mask will continue until further notice in closed places where the necessary social distance cannot be maintained between people such as schools, hospitals, cinemas, theaters, and in all kinds of public transportation vehicles (including intercity) such as buses, minibuses, shuttles, trains, subways, ferries, and airplanes.

3. TERMINATION OF HES CODE APPLICATION

3.1 The inquiries of HES code for people who will enter certain areas such as shopping malls, theaters, astroturf field (for sports) or who will use public transportation vehicles such as buses, trains and planes will be terminated as of 03.03.2022
